I am enormously grateful for well run, local banks that took less than a week to completely fix all the problems with my bank resulting from #1 my purse being stolen and #2 my replacement debit card being stolen before it got to me. I am especially grateful that I got treated with respect throughout the process and despite the improbability of #2 happening, since I have a locking mailbox (I'm still stumped as to how it happened). This is in stark contrast to Capitol One who is still, more than a year and a half later, fighting us on a credit card that was stolen despite the fact that the person who did it is currently in custody awaiting trial for the crime.

I'm grateful that my workplace put in a security camera and an "instant lock" front door switch this summer. (You probably don't want to know why I'm grateful for this- my job is inherently dangerous).
